June 22: World Rainforest Day

Happy World Rainforest Day! The theme for 2026 is “The Forest Within You”, as we are focusing on the connection to our rainforests. For many of our communities as Indigenous peoples, we do not see a separation from us and nature - our forests, trees, and all of our beyond human kin. For today’s celebration of World Rainforest Day, we are highlighting some of the work from communities protecting our rainforests. We hope today is a reminder in tapping into our connection with our network of rainforests, trees, and fauna. Today and always.
